How to get to the university?
Important information
Please note upon arrival at sunday, the 09th of March 2015:
Due to construction work on the signal box the routes around Wuppertal are disabled starting friday, 7.3.15 / 10:30 pm until monday 9.3.15 / 4:15 am.
ICE and IC will be redirected, with no stops in Solingen, Wuppertal and Hagen, but in addition partly in Düsseldorf.
In regional traffic and S-Bahn transit in between Wuppertal main station und Düsseldorf main station there are the following cancellations for trains arriving in Wuppertal:
the RE4 is cancelled in between Düsseldorf main station und Wuppertal main station
the RE7 is cancelled in between Solingen und Wuppertal main station
the RE 48 is cancelled in between Griten und Wuppertal main station
the S8 is cancelled in between Düsseldorf-Gerresheim und Wuppertal main station
the S9 is cancelled in between Wuppertal-Vohwinkel und Wuppertal main station
The Deutsche Bahn offers a train replacement bus for those routes, thus the time of travel will be extended partly by about 60 min.
A taxi ride from Düsseldorf main station to Wuppertal main station, or to Wuppertal-Elberfeld center, is about 70.- €.
